Description
The Corcel saw a familiar flicker on the periphery of his beacons. A sybal that could be dangerous, but one big enough that he’d avoided it often without ever actually bothering to see what it was. The night was growing old, with less than a few hours until dawn. He’d crossed the Uferlos three times already, and the edge of the Corcel’s wanderlust had ebbed into a more subdued, curious meander than the ground eating pace that took him just after transforming.
And holy moly--getting these two in the forest in the dark, with pencil was HARD. Too many value changes. guh.

It was a good time for investigating something—with the Corcel’s need to wander or fight temporarily satiated. Tiago tried to urge it toward the huge creature, whatever it was, with caution. To his relief, the Corcel listened, approaching the beaconed sybal with measured steps, punctuated by its giddy, animalistic response to the adrenaline of fear. Tiago knew this sybal had been marked as dangerous, and so did the Corcel, but he wanted to see it anyway, if only to figure out why his beacons didn’t always mark it as such...

Ahh, so that's how they first met at night. It kind of figures, Kenshin and Edwin's first encounter wasn't far off.
And I really like the picture too. Kenshin's sybal is really tricky to draw, I think.
